EMI Absorber and Application to Anechoic Chamber

The electromagnetic radiation from electronic equipment is regulated in the frequency range of 30MHz - 1000MHz under CISPR. Electromagnetic anechoic chambers used for the measurement of this radiation are fitted with absorbers which provides ufficient return loss in this frequency range. One of this research project is to broaden the operating frequency range of the absorber. Also, the analytical method is developed for designing the anechoic chamber which provides required site attenuation characteristics.

Absorber for Outer Wall

The purpose of this research is to develop an electromagnetic wave absorber for lining on the outer walls of tall buildings. The fin-type absorber which provides sufficient return loss in the frequency range of 90MHz - 720 MHz are developed to suppress unwanted reflections in VHF and UHF ranges. Its characteristics are studied from the view point of angled incidence and effect of gaps between absorber units.
